“My second Kobe mural after the first in 2016. Growing up in LA my generation saw Kobe develop into a superhero both on and off the court... when I first painted him in 2016 I was sad to lose him as a Laker. Never could I have imagined I would be painting him again so soon... the owner donated the wall and we donated the artwork. A small gift for Kobe compared to what he gave us. KOBE!”

Kobe was all about the details. He perfected every aspect of his game. His footwork, his fade-away, his laser focus in the big moments. He perfected his craft. I wanted to embody what Kobe was all about in this piece and I’m very proud of how it turned out.

Again, I’m doing this out of love, love and respect for people who are lost and hurt. I loved hearing a monologue by @theellenshow where she expressed how much we take for granted, that this can happen to any of us at any time, we have to cherish what we have and who we have around us, and tell them how much we love them. Our choices are important, and so much is out of our control. Let’s take a moment to celebrate LIFE! Live free! Smile more. Love more. We have beautiful memories which are sometimes forgotten. Let those memories remind you of the energy, the reality of the individuals we love. | Rest in peace to this true, straight talking LEGEND and his daughter, along with the fellow passengers on helicopter. 💜💛 | More Peace, More Love to all.

Inspired by the majesty of Kobe. This mural gave me the opportunity to give back to the community and tell through my eyes and mind how I view this giant. Bigger than basketball, Kobe touched culture. I painted him as a star in outer space, showing us the light in dark places. ✨ thank you, @john.harvell for capturing me beautifully with my work

This work is pretty remarkable for me in this year. Good size and opportunity to show my respect to a talented and single-minded man, like Kobe was. The place was chosen very suitable as well. I’ve planned to paint at @klumbaspace for a years and this work is the best what I can did for this summer b-ball spot. Thanks to everybody who helped me with that painting, especially @loopcolorsrussia for paint support, @nikita_paris for invitation and @volga1volga for amount of good photos. Peace🙏

Heroes come and go, but legends are forever.

In memory of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan. Long 4 days but we got it done. I want to thank @socialkitchencraftbar @andrewdorsey @elements42 for bringing this NY artist down to Cali to paint this piece. I also want to thank @dyingtolivedm for all of the tremendous help on the wall and video 🎥 footage and @sherwinwilliams of Costa Mesa for donating the supplies. I truly hope this piece brings some comfort to all of those that were affected by this tragedy. Just remember that all flesh perishes but the spirit can live forever. John 11:25 reads: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. So today let's not mourn their loss but cry tears of joy for their everlasting hope in heaven. Praise God because he has the power to exhalt you to levels you could never imagine. I thank you Father for you gave me the ability to create just like you. Dear God allow your holy ones to continue to inspire and heal until their time is called. This one is for you Cali.
